Connector May 2026 upcoming updates

As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping the HPE SSE Connector secure, reliable, and aligned with modern infrastructure standards, we are introducing several updates in the connector release upcoming middle of May:

  • Support for Docker 29

  • New K8S version 1.34

  • The connector will be supported on the following OS versions:

    • CentOS 9
    • RHEL 9
    • Rocky Linux 9
    • Ubuntu 22 & 24
    • Amazon Linux 2023
  • Deprecated Older Supported Operating systems

    The following previous listed operating systems versions will not be supported for new installation of the docker 29 based connectors:
    • Oracle 7
    • Oracle 8
    • CentOS 8
    • Rocky Linux 8
    • RHEL 8
    • Amazon Linux 2
      Soft upgrades of existing connectors on the current connector GA release will still work .

To ensure continued support and optimal performance, we recommend migrating your connectors to one of the supported operating systems

Connector Retention and Removal Policy

If a connector remains disconnected for 30 days (no heartbeat or active connection), it will be scheduled for removal. The connector will be automatically purged from the backend within the following 60 days, for a total of 90 days of inactivity before deletion. If the connector is needed again after removal, it must be redeployed.

    • Upgraded Kubernetes
      • Kubernetes (K8)'s have been upgraded to version 1.33.6
    • Docker Version
      • Docker upgraded to version 27.3.1
    • OVA Changes
      • New VMxNet3 driver support added
      • NIC and SATA controllers now use the proper paravirtualized options as default
      • The default for CPU cores has been reduced from 4 to 2. 4 is recommended for production environments.
