Database
An application is a resource specified by a domain name, a local domain name, or an IP address, defined on a standard set of ports managed and accessed through Axis Application Access Cloud.
Note
Only MSSQL database applications are supported.
To add an MSQL application:
- In the Management Console, click Settings -> Applications ->Add Application.
- Select Database Server.
- Enter a meaningful name for the server.
Step 1: Adding a Local Address and Port
- Configure the following options:
- Domain/IP address: Add the domain or IP address. Specify the application’s Local Domain/FQDN/IP address that is visible to the connector for the network segment.
- Port: Specify the port for the application as an integer. This setting pre-populates with a default port which may be edited:

- Connector zone: Select a Connector Zone within the same network segment or that has access to the application. For more information about connector zones, click here.
- Click Next.
Step 2: Database Server Credentials
Use this New Database Server to prompt users to login with their personal credentials or add the Server and Password.
- On the New Database Server screen, select one of the following options:
If you want to prompt users to log in with their personal server credentials, check the Prompt users to login in with their personal server credentials option.
Note
When you use this option, user credentials are not saved in the application and the users are prompted to add their personal username and password when they accessing the application.
- Add a Server Username and Server Password.
- Click Next.
Step 3: Authentication
- Click the Identity Provider drop-down menu to select an Identity Provider that will manage authentication for this application.
- Click Next.
Step 4: Adding Application Tags (Optional)
Tags help creating policy rules fast and efficiently for groups of applications. Click here to learn about creating application tags.
- Start typing to create new tags, or choose from the drop-down menu.
- Click Finish.
Note
To commit your changes, navigate to the top-right menu, click Apply Changes, then select Commit Changes.
