Configuring Locations
To configure location, complete the following steps:
- In the management console, select Policy -> Locations.
-
Click New Location.
-
In the Location Name field enter a name for the location.
-
If needed, click + Add Sub Location.
-
Define the sub-location as follows:
- In the Name field, provide a name for the sub-location.
If the name has not been used before in your tenant, a new sub-location group is created. However, if the name already exists, Axis Atmos reuses the existing sub-location name group and associates the new sub-location with that group, ensuring that policies that already references that name applies to the new sub-location as well.Note:If you want to standardize sub-location naming structure, and policies to automatically apply to all locations that use the same sub-location name, create multiple sub-locations that share the same Name value across different locations. For more information, see Sub-Locations with the Same Name Across Locations.
- In the IP Range field, define the source IP addresses which represent devices from this sub location. The IP
Range can be defined using a subnet such as 192.168.10.0/24, or a range of IP Addresses such as 192.168.10.2-192.168.10.254
- In the Name field, provide a name for the sub-location.
- If a sub-location has been defined, another section called Sub-Location Rest is displayed. Client devices that do not match a sub-location will default to Sub-Location Rest as their sub-location.
- Click Submit.
The new location is displayed on the Locations page.
