Multi Region Application

Global deployments often require configuring applications that are available in several different regions, for example, an application that is being served across multiple physical locations or geographic regions with each having its own corresponding Connector.

Axis enables Admins to configure this kind of application by choosing multiple Connector Zones in the Application Settings. Axis will pick the best Connector Zone to broker the traffic to based on real time data, prioritizing the best route from the user to the application in terms of performance.

Creating a Multi Region Application

Step 1: Connector Zone Configuration

Deploy Connectors across the organization's network and group Connectors in Connectors Zones based on physical locations / geographic regions.

Step 2: Application Settings

After Configuring the Application Settings, the Connector Zone selection step will enable you to choose more than one Connector Zone for the Application. Select the Connector Zones from which the application can be accessed.

Route Selection

A number of real-time parameters determine how traffic from a user is routed to the application. The user's geographical distance from the Connector Zones that publish the application, the type of traffic and the round-trip time of the route are all considered.
Axis will continuously check these set of parameters and make sure the optimized route from the user and to the application is picked at all times.
