Prerequisites
Before you begin- the following are supported OpenSSH clients:
- 6.x
- 7.x
- 8.x - Except 8.8p1
To add an SSH server application:
- In the Management Console, click Settings -> Destinations -> Add Application.
- Select SSH Server from the Server Access section.
The New SSH Server window is displayed.
Enter a name for the application.
Local Address And Port
- Add domain or IP address. Specify the application’s Local Domain/FQDN/IP address that is visible to the connector for the network segment.
- In the Port, specify the port for the application as an integer.
For SSH the default port is 22. - Select a Connector zone within the same network segment or that has access to the application. For more information about connector zones, click Connector Zones.
- Click Next.
SSH Server Credentials
- In the SSH Settings window, select one of the following options:
- Prompt users to log in with their own credentials option. This means that the user credentials are not saved in the application and the user will be prompted to add a username and password when accessing the application.
- Use an Axis IdP personal Private Key.: Choosing this option will connect the user to the SSH machine with the personal key configured in Axis IdP.
The private key is then used for authentication when accessing the SSH application. - Use predefined credentials to log users in: In the Server username and Server password, enter the root credentials. Click here to learn more about SSH user provisioning.
